Berkeley County - Rabies Alert!

*** Rabies Alert Issued by the Berkeley County Health Department ***

Berkeley County (WV) Health Department has issued a Rabies Alert for the Torytown/Runnymeade Road area of Inwood. The WV Office of Laboratory Services notified us on September 13th of a positive test result for the rabies virus from an aggressive skunk in the above area. It was submitted to them by the Berkeley County Health Department. If you think that you or someone else may have come into contact with this animal, please call the Berkeley County Health Department @ (304) 267-7130 or Berkeley County Animal Control @ (304) 263-4729. All Citizens are also being reminded to make sure your animals are currently vaccinated against rabies and to avoid contact with wildlife!
