Medical Volunteer Corps

The Berkeley-Morgan County Medical Volunteer Corps (B-MC MVC) has been established by the Berkeley-Morgan County Health Departments to help coordinate human resources that may be used during a public health emergency. The B-MC MVC is currently working with local emergency planners, existing emergency response agencies, and community partners to establish, coordinate, and train volunteers so we can better respond to widespread disasters and improve community health education. 

Be Trained.  Be Prepared.  Be A Volunteer

 

Who can join?

  • Health professionals licensed/certified in the State of West Virginia.

  • Community based volunteers

  • Individuals who care about their community

What types of emergencies?

  • Major disease outbreaks such as pandemic influenza.

  • Fires, floods, other natural disasters.

  • Man-made disasters.

What about other activities?

  • Volunteers also have opportunities to serve through outreach in local communities.

  • Volunteers can train and participate in exercises to prepare them for emergencies.
