Food Handler Card Proposal

 

Martinsburg, WV, January 26, 2026-- Please take notice that the Berkeley-Morgan County Board of Health, during their January 26, 2026, Board Meeting, approved a proposal to require that all food handlers in Berkeley and Morgan County have a food handler’s card in order to work in these counties to be effective July 1, 2026.

 

There will be a (30) day comment period beginning April 24, 2026, and ending May 24, 2026.

 

Copies of the proposal can be obtained on both Berkeley and Morgan County Health Department’s Facebook pages, website, and at either health department locations during normal business hours Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

This notice is required by law to be in the form of a legal notice.
