RABIES ALERT - Morgan County, WV

*** Rabies Alert Issued by the Morgan County Health Department ***

Date: May 10, 2023

Morgan County (WV) Health Department has issued a Rabies Alert for Winchester Grade Road near Packing Shed Rd. and Musketeer Lane.

The WV Office of Laboratory Services notified us on May 10th of a positive test result for the rabies virus from a raccoon in the above area. It was submitted to them by the Morgan County Health Department.

All Citizens are also being reminded to make sure your animals are currently vaccinated against rabies and to avoid contact with wildlife!
